ORLANDO CHILDREN'S HOME |
Orlando Children’s Home provides a safe and loving environment for children that vary from 1 day to 21 years old.
This venerable institution has been going since 1940, taking in abandoned or orphaned children sent there by the Children's Court. There are currently more than 60 children resident at the home. |
AMAPONDO CHILDREN'S PROJECT |
The project received NPO status in June 2006. The Amapondo Children's Project aims to empower the minds and spark the initiative of the community of Port St. John's; helping people help themselves. This practical volunteer program offers much needed academic assistance and extra-curricular activities to local school children.
The benefits are many; including cultural exchange and linguistic immersion for volunteers, and the provision of a supplemental education outside the classroom-both academically and socially. |
